| Come and follow me' |
| |
| How to inherit eternal life? Mark 10:
Ver 17 - 23 |
| |
| A lot of people are keen, very religious
people, searching for God. Surveys lead us to believe that up to 70%
of the population are 'searching' for some inner enlightenment. This
good man from Mark's Gospel was seeking assurance about the future. |
| |
| 'Stewardship' as 'Discipleship' - come
and follow me, don't let anything get in the way. |
| |
| The key is verse 21: Jesus looked at
him and loved him - the most important word in our faith. |
| |
| Jesus knows that we are worried, that
some of us are not ready for discipleship - but he just loves us. |
| |
| Jesus' love is a free gift - pick up
your worries, your fears, your doubts and follow me. |
| |
| Our salvation is based upon our 'trust'
in Jesus, on what he has done for us and not what we can do for him.
He want's our whole hearted commitment - he want's our 'Discipleship'. |
