Come and follow me'

How to inherit eternal life? Mark 10: Ver 17 - 23

A lot of people are keen, very religious people, searching for God. Surveys lead us to believe that up to 70% of the population are 'searching' for some inner enlightenment. This good man from Mark's Gospel was seeking assurance about the future.

'Stewardship' as 'Discipleship' - come and follow me, don't let anything get in the way.

The key is verse 21: Jesus looked at him and loved him - the most important word in our faith.

Jesus knows that we are worried, that some of us are not ready for discipleship - but he just loves us.

Jesus' love is a free gift - pick up your worries, your fears, your doubts and follow me.

Our salvation is based upon our 'trust' in Jesus, on what he has done for us and not what we can do for him. He want's our whole hearted commitment - he want's our 'Discipleship'.
