Lee Abbey 2002

There is so much to convey about this weekend that it may take a week or two to compile. However we have to start somewhere, (whilst I beg, bribe and cajole people to provide personal impressions) a few pictures and our weekend sessions.

Rev. Andrew Perry Inspiringly led by Rev. Andrew Perry.

One of many beautiful views from Lee Abbey.

Highworth Churches group shot

A lovely group shot, somewhere there are members of The Community Church, The United Reform Church, The Methodist Church and St Michael's. Not everybody made the shoot!

If you would like a better look follow the link. Lot's more to add in the coming weeks.

Lee Abbey 2002

The sea disappeared into the sky

Or did the sky disappear into the sea?

Water rippled gently and the waves

calmly lapped at the fallen rocks.

Majestic cliffs protected the small bay

where green slopes and forest meet

in myriad greens of colour.

High on the hill not far from the valley of rocks

the large impressive house watches all,

And people come from near or far to wander or to sit.

GOD reaches through the beauty of His creation

and begs us listen,

We who have eyes that look but do not see

or ears that listen but do not hear.

Yet just as the sun emerges with bright dazzling

warmth and light, from clouds that build

GOD shows us His Glory in flashes of insight,

Sometimes in quiet calm, joyous music,

bubbling laughter, walking, talking, thinking, being.

He is with us and we are His.

SUCH LOVE, SUCH GLORY.

Rowena Leonard.
