was held at The Cathedral Church of the Holy & Undivided Trinity,
Bristol |
| on Sunday 3rd
July. It was a lovely service and we emerged to brilliant |
| sunshine. |

| Here is a short
history from Sam herself. |
| |
| Eleven years
ago, the birth of our first son proved a deeply spiritual |
| experience. It
initiated a search for answers, which lasted three years, |
| during which
my vicar, bore with my deliberating, dithering, and downright |
| defiance with
amazing patience and hopefulness. Finally (he breathed a |
| sigh of relief)
I was baptised and confirmed at St Michaels', Stoke Gifford, a |
| church, which
has supported me and allowed me to do quite extraordinary |
| things all the
time I've been there. After a health scare in 2002, I decided |
| that I could
no longer postpone following the crazy yet curiously persistent |
| idea that I,
a Christian of less than five years, should become a vicar. |
| Sometimes the
learning curve has been so steep as to appear vertical, but |
| here I am, still
climbing, concentrating on taking just the next step ... and |
| then the next... |

the service was our new bishop of Swindon Lee Rayfield. |
