Songs make the most of summer

SUMMER Is Here was a very fitting topic for a concert presented by the Swindon Male Voice Choir in St Michael's Church on July 1. The choir, directed by Max Brockman-More, sang a variety of a well-known pieces ranging from the Unchained Melody to Nessun Dorma.
The guests were the young group The Third Man. The group was formed just over a year ago and was so named because a duo, Peter Kent and Jason Hull, were looking for a third male singer to complete a group.
Luckily, they found a talented Matt Bailey, who writes his own music, sings and plays the guitar.
Then they became four when Peter came across a former school friend, Amy Cullum, a singer who had performed in the school concerts, and who was persuaded to join the trio.
When Amy was unable to perform in a cabaret her friend, Leanne Mack, stood in for her.
Leanne impressed the others so much that they asked her to join and so the group grew once more to the present quintet.
