St. Michael's supplied the BBQ for the annual Highwoth fireworks display
held at the recreation centre on Friday 2nd November 2007. The men
setting up, were waiting for the the rest of the team, the ladies to arrive.
 
St. Michael's Tabard as worn by Captain Thomas Batsford has been
beautifully restored by Alison Lister (Senior Conservator/Co-Director)
 
I had the pleasure of supporting Rob Stewart, along with 25 or so church
members, at his licensing in Bristol Cathedral on Saturday 6th October.
 
Sunday 1st July at the Ordination of Deacons and Priests, John Rees
was Priested Assistant Curate, Benefice of Highworth with Sevenhampton
and Inglesham and Hannington, Benefice and Parish of Broad Blunsdon.

Sunday 13th May saw a very special 10am service for Mike Collett and
Lawrence King. Between them they have clocked up 120 years in St
Michael's Choir. A picture of Mike and Lawrence plus a picture of the

The Autumn 2006 Sermon Series has now finished but the most recent '
Our Grace-full God' has just started so if you would like to hear any of
them please follow the link to the ministry page.
 
The St. Michael's Ladies flower guild have decorated the church with an
abundance of beautiful displays for Easter. Here are just a few.
 
Colin Gunn took the opportunity to take a few pictures from St. Michael's
tower when we had a couple of day's of snow on 7th February 2007

This year has seen a tremendous effort given by all the members of the
St Michael's Ladies flower guild, and their Christmas displays are
beautiful to see. Take a few minutes to view some of their handywork.
 
A special confirmation service was held in St Michael's on Sunday 26th
Conducted by the Right Rev'd. Dr. Lee Rayfield Bishop of Swindon, follow

A very succesful concert was held in St. Michael's on Saturday 1st July.
we were entertained by the Swindon Male Voice Choir and the popular
'Third Man' vocal group.
 
Sunday 2nd July saw a very special day for St.Michael's Church. A coach
load of supporters traveled to Bristol to see Sam Rushton Priested and
John Rees made Deacon in Bristol Cathedral, a very moving day.
 
St Michael's cricketing 6 can be seen here, a long day but rewarding.
 
St Michael's Social Committee did themselves proud this lunch time with
a superb 'Sunday Roast'. It was literally a case of standing room only,
at least for two members of the team as the meal was a sell out. (22.01.06)
 
St Michael's Church - MUSIC WEEKEND 14th/15th January 2006
 
The Millenium Window - a pdf file is available of the book, beautifully
put together by Audrey James and Pat Haskins,to celebrate the installation
of the Millenium Window. The book, bought by the late Elizabeth Drew,
and completed by two Highworth ladies, will be presented to Rev. Geoff
Sowden at the Dedication Service on Saturday 17th December.
