| Lindy Hope is our church's Link Missionary with Overseas Missionary Fellowship ( formerly China Inland Mission ). She has worked in the Philippines in a variety of roles for the past 24 years or so and has had links with St Michael's Church for the past 20 years, visiting us whenever she is on home assignment. |
| Lindy is now the only missionary working at OMF publishers ( the pub! ) in Metro-Manila, a city of more than 10 million people. She asks for prayer for good sense and discipline in organising her time. She leads workshops for the Christian Writers' Fellowship, reviews books, edits, checks manuscripts and helps in the office as well as helping Rhoda, a new member of the staff responsible for advertising and promotions. In addition to all that she is working for an MA degree in Communications. All this in tropical climes and irregular but almost daily brownouts of the electricity supply, sometimes for five hours at a time. |

goal is to develop and produce relevant, attractive and affordable
books by filipino christian writers, and to distribute these books
as widely as possible across the Philippines. |

For my relationship with the Lord —for time spent in Bible-reading
and prayer. |

For my relationships with Filipino friends and colleagues at
OMF Lit. For our CEO, Ramon Rocha, and all in our forty-strong staff
team involved in editing and literature production, finance, imports,
sales, and distribution. |
| 3.
For wise decisions as we plan what to publish. For six new
Filipino writers to join our list each year. For reasonable speed
in completing each project, and for the impact of our books in the
Philippines. |
| 4.
For skill as an editor — and that I might teach clearly about
editing and book-making in weekly sessions with our editors. For occasional
seminars open to wider circles of writers and editors. |
| 5.
For physical health — to wisely balance work and leisure, church-involvement,
reading, letter-writing.... |
| 6. For my involvement in church —Christ’s Commission Fellowship, St. Francis’ Square, Manila. |
| For
wisdom as I continue to learn about living more generously in a city
with so many in need. |

For links with family and friends, prayer-partners, partner-churches
and prayer-groups. |
