The grace-full God who seeks the lost and celebrates the found
Readings: Luke 15 - the stories of the lost sheep, the lost coin and
the lost son.

God does not wait for us to find him but actively seeks us out. He is

steadfast and persistent and will not let us go. When we know
ourselves to be found, all heaven celebrates.

The grace-full God who calls everyone, however unworthy
Readings: Luke 14: 15-24; Matthew 20: 1-15- the parables of the heavenly
banquet and the workers in the vineyard. God invites everyone to be in his
kingdom, and everyone in the kingdom is of equal worth whether they come
early or late. (And no, it isn't fair by human standards!!) The implications of
this are profound and uncomfortable - it means we will Sit alongside the
'untouchables' of our and previous generations who, although sinners, know
God and trust in his grace and mercy. We will be surprised and shocked by the
people who join us at God's heavenly feast.

How wonderful is our grace-full God!

Readings: Matthew 13: 44; Matthew 13:45 - the parables of the hidden treasure
and the pearl of great price
Knowing that we are a part of God's grace-full kingdom is the most
amazing experience in the world. It is a treasure worth giving up everything
for, the most beautiful thing we can possess. How can we ever thank God
enough for the grace with which he showers us?
