Welcome to St Michael and All Angels

St Michaels from Lechlade Road

We are the parish church of Highworth in Wiltshire.

We continue to worship every Sunday whilst our building works are carried out, so do please join us either at St Michael's Hall, Lechlade Road for our 10.15am service or in the Church Room for a 8.00am service.

The church building is currently closed to the public, but the Church Office and Church Room both remain accessible.

We have two regular Sunday services:

-   8.00am a said communion service, held 1st and 3rd Sundays in the Church Room.
10.15am weekly family service  with children's groups (alternately Holy Communion and morning worship), held in St Michael's Hall, Lechlade Road.

Mark Aldridge from New Wine Trust will be joining St Michael's this weekend (14th/15th July)to preach and pray with us as we continue our spiritual journeys during our time of re-ordering. Mark is Director of Church Leadership Development at New Wine, having spent over 25 years in local church leadership. Please do join us at our 10.15am service as Mark helps us to gain a deeper connection with God and community and asks us how we will re-present Jesus to Highworth.

Our sermons are often available here.

Weekly in St Michael's we hold a short service of Morning Prayer on Mondays at 9.30am, an Evening Prayer at 6.00pm on Wednesdays, and at 9.15am on Fridays blessings are pronounced for our town.

Monthly  We hold a regular monthly Midweek Church service in the Church Room - a said communion service at 11.00am on the third Wednesday of each month, followed by a simple lunch.

Corporate prayer time is also held in the Church Room on the 2nd Monday of the month at 8.00pm.

Our Vicar is Rev Geoff Sowden, his day off is Friday and you can contact him via the Church Office (details below) or email him here
