We would like to say a big "THANK YOU" for supporting our Harvest collections again this year.
In total, a hugely impressive 11,641.30 Kgs was donated. This compares very favourably to the previous two years and will help us continue to help those who are most in need in our local community. 68 school, pre schools & nurseries and 37 churches supported us, so please thank your families and church members for their much needed support.
Currently, we are giving out in excess of 122 Tonnes of stock to those in need. This equates to roughly 98,000 meals. We receive around 92 Tonnes of donated food but this is not meeting the increased need as we are feeding approx. 10,900 people, a number which has risen dramatically over the past 18 months. As a result, we have had to spend almost £2,000 a month on stock this year to be able to meet the increased demand, so your generosity during Harvest is more welcome than ever.
Please know that your support helps us greatly, especially in these colder months where people are spending more on fuel and less on food.
