Homegroups
They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
Acts 2:42
We believe that church is more than a meeting to go to, it’s an extended family you can belong to.
Homegroups are groups of 8-12 people who meet to study the Bible, to pray and encourage one another. They also help to keep each other accountable within the context of loving and supportive relationships. Alongside the corporate Bible teaching in church, and personal quiet times, meeting in a small group allows for interactive and discussion based Bible study. This aids our understanding and helps us apply God's word to ourselves:
A crucial element in becoming mature in Christ (Colossians 1:28)
In addition to Sundays, Homegroups are a great place to form friendships. There are lots of groups to choose from who meet in a variety of locations, allowing you to find a day and a time that suits you.
A typical group involves a time for socialising over drinks and snacks followed by worship, bible study and prayer.
If you are new to St Michael's the best way to find the right group for you is through coming to one of our Welcome events, contact the office to find out the details of the next one.
